I got me some Beats by Dre (Got from this dude at work) the solo hd. I learned that the cable provided with it only works for i devices… lame right.. Since its just a cable, it would be nice if Monster provided cables for other mobiles.. like say.. Nokia N8, but they don’t.
In the past, I have managed to rig my own cables for other nokia devices with music control and mic. I managed to make some for members of my family who love Nokia devices but hate, as I, the headphones provided by them. So, I will be making my own cable for my N8, by using the OEM headphones which came with it. I hate the in hear buds.. because they are too big for me, even the small plugin.. I will then proceed to open the buds at the control section and detached the earbud from the rest of the connector and solder a 3.5 male cable to it. Allowing me to use my Beats with my N8 while still able to control it without having to unlock it every time.. Wish me luck and will provide updates as I work on it.. This project shouldn’t take more than an hour or work, but I don’t focus well and might take me a a day or two from jumping back and forward to it.. Very well let me get started.

Aside from all the instructions around the web about how to hard reset your Samsung Infuse. They are mostly wrong or don’t work for all the firmwares.

Holding the Volume keys, both up/down while holding the power button, at least for 5 seconds seemed to do the work for me.

Press volume up and power button at the same time.
Recovery menu should come up.
Restore factory.

to hard reset the Viewsonic G Tablet upc300 simply hold down the volume up button then press the power button for a few seconds until the tablet turns on, releasing power button, you should now be presented with recovery menu.

1. turn phone off
2. Hold Volume up, volume down, call/send, center button
and power button all at the same time for about 5 seconds.
until phone displays reinstall system picture.

That is it. Phone will restart to show intro.

Samsung Vibrant Hard Reset..

Instructions on how to completely hard reset the new T-mobile Samsung Vibrant when too many login attempts have been made and the phone is locked, notice that VOLUME UP/DOWN/POWER does not work with the new T-mobile version to enter recovery mode. This was done under Windows but can also be done with a Mac

Things you will need
1. Vibrant usb drivers
2. Android SDK
3. Micro USB cable.
4. Working T-mobile sim card.

Very well now:
1. Install USB Drivers.
2. Unzip Android SDK and notice location.
3. Vibrant must be on with sim card, notice its locked due to too many login attempts.
4. Make a call to Vibrant, though locked, it will allow you to answer.
5. While on the call, click MENU then CONTACTS then HOME.
You have just bypassed the login screen.

You can now perform a factory reset from within the phone. This works if there is no lock pattern present to reset the phone. So if this worked for you, stop here. If however you keep getting Login screen when phone boots up continue with next steps.

Once you can navigate the phone
7. In the MENU check USB DEBUGGING MODE after plug phone to computer.
9. Wait for drivers to install then..
10. Run adb reboot recovery with shell. (unzipped sdk/tools/adb).
11 Phone will go into recovery mode.
12. Must perform Delete All User Data and Delete Cache Data. (Use volume up/down and power key to select).

Congratulations, you now have a fresh Samsung Vibrant lock free.
